 Legislative Advocacy

• Monitor legislation (state or nationwide) and report to the board
• Provide a sounding board to refine your arguments for or against a position
• Assist & coach members on how to contact lawmakers
• Assist in planning formal activities such as a Day on the Hill
• Draft formal communications to legislators
• Work with members to identify opportunities such as meeting with key legislators and presenting testimony at a hearing
